Session time is up to 60 minutes long. All sessions begin at sunrise or 60 minutes prior to sunset ONLY. I do not do sessions outside of these hours because sunrise and sunset are the PRIME hours for optimal lighting in your photos and how I am able to achieve such dreamy colors in your photos. I have all the tips and tricks to give you the confidence that your little ones will have a blast, even at a time as early as sunrise!
Wardrobe and location assistance is included in every session. You will receive a free copy of my customized style guide once you have completed your booking.
Package includes ALL (60+) hand edited high resolution images. Images are sent through an online gallery for immediate download. Turn around time on all galleries is 4 weeks, this allows me the time needed to perfectly hand edit your images so they look stunning on any wall in your home.
To book your session you must pay a non-refundable retainer of $100. The remaining balance is due at the time of session in cash. Tax is included on all online payments.
Hi, I'm Shae, a soul-led photographer based in Vilcabamba, Ecuador.
Twelve years ago, I woke up after the darkest night of my life. Since then, I have devoted myself to the light. Not just the kind that filters through the jungle canopy, but the kind we carry inside us. The kind we sometimes forget we have.
Photography has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up learning the art alongside my mother, both an artist and a photographer who showed me how to see with both precision and heart. Those early years mentored my eye, and my soul, until I eventually branched out on my own to follow the pull toward something more raw, more intuitive, more rooted in spirit.
My path has carried me through the U.S. and Germany, but it wasn't until I landed in Ecuador that I truly felt home. And here, in this sacred land, I found the stillness and light I had been searching for. The mountains, the jungle, the rhythm of the land... It all mirrors how I create and who I am meant to become.
I am a mama to two radiant little beings, and married to the kindest soul I know. Our life is messy, magical, and full of love. Becoming a mother changed the way I see the world. It has made me softer, and rooted me deeper into the present moment.
I've been shaped by many things. By pain, by motherhood, by learning to love myself. All of these achingly beautiful experiences have given me a gift: the ability to recognize beauty in its rawest form. The wounds of my youth taught me how to see beneath the surface. Motherhood is still teaching me her lessons every day. Through both I have learned to witness others, and myself, exactly as we are. And that is the energy I bring into every session.
That's what Soul Rays is about.
Not stiff poses or perfect smiles, but real, radiant presence.
The way your child leans into you. The glance you share with your partner when the world fades away. The quiet, sacred knowing in your own eyes.
I work with individuals, couples, and families, both locals and travelers, who want more than a pretty photo.
I work with those who want to be witnessed, held, reflected, and who crave adventure in their life.
This work is my way of honoring you.
And the land we walk.
And the light that never left.
I believe that being seen is sacred.
Photography, for me, is not about perfect poses or curated images, its about presence. Its about witnessing someone in their truth, unguarded, alive, full of light and story.
I photograph the way the sun dances alongside you, I trust the in-between moments, I watch for the quiet glances wait for the wild laughter, I respect the stillness after the tears.
Every person I photograph carries something holy inside them.
My role is to hold space for that to rise to the surface. Gently, naturally, and without judgement.
Whether you're a traveler passing through the Andes, a couple rooted in love, or a family tangled in the beauty of everyday chaos, your story matters. And it deserves to be honored with care, curiosity, and soul.
This work isn't just my art.
Its my healing.
And its my offering.
